Nice and cozy feel. Staff are very friendly and speak great English. We had the curry omelette dish and it was great! It even has some pork cheek and a little flag. It also comes with a small bottle of local milk. Great spot to stop!
MoreVery Friendly staff, almost every dish has pork in it so not a great place for non-pork eaters. We had the okonomiyaki. It was average.
MoreThe mochi and cheese okonomiyaki is to die for. Absolute yum in every bite. We had the pork omelette rice as well, and the pork is tender and juicy.
MoreIt was so empty when we arrived. Only one other family. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. Everyone needs to try this place.
MoreDespite smokey atmosphere and soft gyoza (ew), the other food was really good, and the staff were friendly. Also, it was surprisingly not as expensive as we thought.
MoreBest meal I have had in japan the pork spare ribs where incredible, cabbage caesar and kimchi were the perfect palate cleansers. Not to mention the service was top notch. Counter seating is recommended!
MoreFriendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the food (and showtime)! The curry and pork rib were bursting with flavour!
MoreGood plates & Friendly staffs. A good restaurant to visit in Furano city. The restaurant is well prepared for foreign customer and you can give a tip at the cashier box for their good service.Recommended to visit.
MoreThe service is very good.Okonomiyaki is a bit doughyThe famous furano dama is quite thick and dry, very heavy on the potatoCurry omelette rice is delicious.Good option if you want English menus and English speaking staff but not the tastiest food that furano has to offer.
MoreYummy food, friendly staff, reasonable price
Food was great! Generous portions but the place was very smoky due to the teppan-had probs breathing coz my nose was stuck. Otherwise, it’s a fairly good experience.
MoreMust come in Furano. Best Pork Chop I ever eaten in my life! Other mains are nice too!
MoreReservations recommended as it fills up quickly. Wonderful staff who can speak some English. Food options were great and accommodating to those with food restrictions or vegetarians. Pricepoint was on par for the level of service and food quality. Oishi!!!!
MoreVery sumptuous food and good service.
Awesome. Everything that we ordered was good. The pork ribs is a must have - tasty and juicy. Gyoza was excellent. Dried noodles was addictive. And the service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommended.
MoreThe chefs were the nicest, kindest humans! The food was amazing and we wanted to go back but was closed on our second night in Furano-Shi. They were kind enough to make vegetarian dishes for us and give us recommendations too for things to see in furano! Food that fills the stomach and people that fill the soul.
MoreFood was delicious. Eggs were done just perfect, pork and chicken were excellent. Brown sauce was very savory. There were 2 servers from Taiwan, both very friendly and hospitable
MoreGreat food, good English spoken, good value.
Wonderful food and we enjoyed getting to watch the magnificent chef cook right in front of us. The okonomiyaki was delicious and very filling. We saw him making fried rice and stir fried noodles that we want to come back and try next time. It was not crowded at all on a Saturday at lunch time in winter.
MoreCosy and delicious hotplate teppanyaki food!
Very nice food and friendly chef.
Great food and service. I recommends to visit here when come to Furano.
Amazing food and staff! Be sure to try when you're here
The grilled pork rib is excellent and the Chef cooks it with great flare as he flames the meat at the grill. It was a pleasure talking to the Chef who speaks English and his intern who was delighted that I could speak Mandarin as he was from Taiwan. Enjoyed our curry rice and grilled pork rib.
MoreDo yourself a favor and come here. As everyone has said, the food was great, the staff extremely friendly and welcoming and they were very happy to chat and give tips about which local onsen and scenic spots they like. They were also very helpful and understanding about adapting the menu for vegetarian taste—they have some amazing fried noodles with cabbage and a local specialty, a version of okonomiyaki with cheese and potato that was really spectacular. Really generous portions for 900 yen or so, also.
Morepopular tourist place with lots of patrons, so make sure you make advance booking.food was ok. curry omlete great but okonomiyaki is hokkaido style, which is a little dry and heavy on potato. not the cabbage style from osaka osaka and hiroshima
MoreCosy ambience, great service staff.Food is good, we ordered quite a few variety from curry omelette rice to fried rice and noodles and add on the house special pork ribs to enjoy the spectacular fire flame show before they served. The whole family enjoyed the dinner.Just a reminder to park only outside the restaurant. We parked in front the neighbouring shop and the restaurant owner got a nasty warning call that they will fine us 10000 Yen.
MoreSuch great food! Really tasty and is really recommended! The best okonomiyaki ive ever tried
MoreDelicious food and great display of skill by the grill staff. We ordered one okonomiyaki and pork ribs which doesn't take too long to arrive at the table. The flavors are very nice, I feel with both dishes that were ordered 2 people were comfortable eating this amount of food. We could have ordered one more dish and been absolutely stuffed.
MoreThe service and food was great. I would recommend the pork spare rib and omelette curry rice. Try to get a seat at the bar if you book ahead so you can watch the chef and show (when ordering the pork)
MoreService was slow as they had only 1 chef tonight (usually 2). But the staff kept apologising for it. The food was really good. The omu Rice - fluffy and soft. The okonomiyaki - flavoursome.
MoreThe only Teppanyaki restaurant in this area, serving excellent food with a wide range of dish and drink choices. The pork ribs are their signature dish and they will even do a “fire show” for you while cooking it. I filmed it down as a souvenir. Needless to say, I was impressed by their efficient and friendly service. English and Japanese menus available.
MoreWonderful small place. A really nice surprise for us to find. They had a very sweet server from Taiwan that was very kind and friendly. The chicken was perfect and we loved the egg noodle dish.
MoreReally delicious okonomiyaki and grilled pork rib. Friendly service, entertaining cooking as well! Get a seat at the bar :)
MoreCozy setup, we waited for about 15 minutes before we get the seats (5 in a group). Service was rather fast though. When we left about 1.30pm, there was still a long queue waiting. Okonomiyaki was good and we also ordered the potato and cheese one which was snapped up quickly (do order as soon as it indicates a waiting time of 30 min).
MoreDelicious food at great prices! The friendly chef speaks English so you can chat with him as he cooks before you at the counter. I loved the pork rib and the okonomiyaki, which tasted light and healthy. Would go again to try other dishes!
MoreSuch good Teppanyaki and very friendly staff. Prices very reasonable too. We were full and spent less than 2000 yen for two!
MoreHaha comfort food, but not the usual Japanese food standard.
Good garlic fried rice!! Well it may be personal taste. The boss is friendly makes the whole occasion pleasant. Good.
MoreThis place is THE place, super friendly and accommodating staff. Food is absolutely amazing and sometimes it’s dinner and a show. Decent price and wonderful local Japanese style ambiance. Must try!!
MoreWe had a great experience at Masaya. The staff were super friendly and the traditional Japanese cuisine was incredible. One of the best parts of the experience was watching our food being made in front of us. Highly recommended.
MoreVery good service and food. Small so book a table. Great fun especially for tourists
MoreQuite tasty but the place is a bit small & too smokey. Expect to wait on dinner time.
MoreGreat boss! great food:) excellent dining experience:). (great Taiwanese crew)
Went there twice. One of the best spots for becoming overweight. Loved it.
Friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere
The Okonomiyaki doesn't have enough cabbage nor sauce - tried different options and were all about the same The omurice curry is delicious though!Very smokey inside
MoreAmazing teppanyaki place! This is one of the rare places where they’re exceptionally accommodating to special requests (food dislikes/allergies)! The Chef in particular that we had (see his photo below) was extremely good - his English was really good and makes you comfortable conversing with him. Aside from the amazing food he cooks up, he makes for really good videos and photos too - entertaining us with his little antics! Interacting with him (and the other lovey staff) made our dinner-teppanyaki experience really pleasant and unforgettable! Not to forget mentioning that food was impeccable and really affordable! Remember to reserve your tables as it gets really crowded after 6pm. We were fortunate enough to get the last two seats by the grill with a walk-in.Definitely stop by if you’re in town! At least once!
MoreAbsolutely lovely staff and an amazing meal, so glad we made it here for dinner. Portions are big, so share the dishes if you don't have a big appetite. Highly recommended restaurant!
MoreVery satisfying meal after a day on the slopes.Reasonably priced.Booked out most nights so it's best to book in advance during peak seasons. You can book in person for the following day(s) if it is full.Cosy place with both table or counter seats.Car spots available at the front of the restaurant.
